Scouts' Compassionate Response: Providing Support to Train Passengers

In the wake of the tragic train collision near Daharki on June 7, 2021, which claimed the lives of at least 55 people and left over 150 others injured, scouts from various districts demonstrated their unwavering commitment to humanitarian service.

Immediately following the accident, scouts joined other relief agencies in the rescue operations, assisting in the transportation of the deceased and injured to hospitals in Ghotki, Abro, Daharki, and Mirpurmathelo for urgent medical attention.

With train services halted due to the closure of the railway track, scouts stepped in to provide support to stranded passengers at stations across Nowshera Feroze, Gambat, Rohri, Panu Akil, Tandomasti, Ranipur, Mehrabpur, Sukkur, Khairpur Daharki, and other districts. Among the assistance offered was the provision of milk, reflecting the scouts’ commitment to alleviating the discomfort and distress of those affected by the tragedy.

In times of crisis, the compassion and dedication of scouts shine brightly, offering solace and support to communities in need.

Scouts Spring into Action: Responding to Tragic Accident in Khairpur

A tragic head-on collision between a passenger coach and a van near Hussainabad in Yarpur resulted in the loss of at least 19 lives and left dozens injured. As soon as the distressing news reached them, the scouts of Khairpur Boy Scouts Association wasted no time in springing into action.

Rushing to the scene of the accident, these dedicated scouts immediately initiated rescue operations. With efficiency and compassion, they swiftly shifted the bodies of the deceased and the injured to Civil Hospital Khairpur, ensuring they received urgent medical attention.

In addition to their crucial role at the accident site, the scouts extended their support to Khairpur Civil Hospital, offering assistance to the families affected by the tragedy. Their swift response and unwavering commitment to serving their community during times of crisis reflect the true spirit of scouting and the values it instills in its members.

Scouts Respond to Tragic Accident in Larkana

On April 11, tragedy struck Larkana city as a collision between a tractor trolley and a bus carrying a procession resulted in the loss of 19 lives and left over 100 others injured.

In the wake of this devastating incident, a team of dedicated scouts including Sheikh, Habib Sheikh, Mujahid Jarwar, Amir Akbar Mangi, Imtiaz Mangi, Abdus Salam Junejo, and Waseem Rahojo swiftly responded. Arriving at the scene, they immediately engaged in relief efforts, assisting in the transportation of the deceased and injured to the emergency ward of Larkana for urgent medical care.

Throughout the ordeal, the scouts remained on hand to provide support and assistance to both the injured and their families, exemplifying the spirit of compassion and solidarity in times of adversity. Their selfless actions serve as a testament to the invaluable role scouts play in serving their communities during times of crisis.

In Memory of Hassan Ali Raza: A Hero Among Scouts

In the aftermath of torrential rains in Karachi, Hassan Ali Raza, a dedicated member of the Imamia Scouts, stood as a beacon of selflessness and service to humanity.

Amidst the chaos of flood relief efforts in Al-Abbas Town, Hassan Ali Raza’s unwavering commitment to saving lives led him to the forefront of rescue operations. Tragically, while bravely attempting to rescue a child and his father trapped by the rising waters, Hassan Ali Raza lost his life when a wall collapsed.

The Sindh Boy Scouts Association, led by Provincial Commissioner Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and Provincial Secretary Syed Akhtar Mir, alongside Chief Patron Muhammad Siddique Memon and Justice (R) Hassan Feroze, mourn the loss of Hassan Ali Raza. His sacrifice serves as a profound reminder of the courage and dedication inherent in the scout ethos.

In honoring his memory, we recognize Hassan Ali Raza as a true role model for fellow scouts, embodying the highest ideals of service and sacrifice. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on as an inspiration to all who follow in his noble footsteps.

Sindh Scouts Extend Helping Hand: Relief Efforts in Flood-Hit Balochistan

Following the devastating floods triggered by heavy rains in Othel and Lakhar, Balochistan, the Sindh Boy Scouts Association swiftly mobilized its leaders and scouts to provide much-needed relief to the affected communities.

Our dedicated teams engaged in extensive relief work, distributing essential supplies including food, clothing, and other necessities to the flood victims. Their presence and assistance brought hope and comfort to those grappling with the aftermath of the disaster.

We are proud to report that the efforts of the Sindh Boy Scouts did not go unnoticed. The Deputy Commissioner of Lasbela expressed appreciation for the exemplary dedication and tireless efforts of our scouts in aiding the flood-affected areas. This recognition further motivates us to continue our mission of serving communities in times of crisis, reinforcing our commitment to humanitarian values and solidarity.

In the wake of the recent torrential rains inundating Karachi, the Sindh Boy Scouts Association, in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, swiftly sprang into action to aid affected communities. Under the guidance of Sindh Boy Scouts Association Provincial Commissioner and Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, along with Provincial Secretary Syed Akhtar Mir, our dedicated rescue teams ventured into Saadi Town, Yousuf Goth, Superhighway, and neighboring areas.

Our scouts actively participated in relief efforts alongside the Pakistan Army and other agencies, offering assistance during the flood crisis. Their tireless dedication and efficient coordination drew praise from the officers of the Pakistan Army, who commended their performance. Their acknowledgment underscores the vital role our scouts play in serving the country and its citizens during times of need, reaffirming our commitment to continued service and support for our nation.

Their efforts encompassed a range of activities, from distributing ready meals to evacuating individuals via boats and conducting crucial rescue operations.

Scouts' Dedicated Efforts During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Mobilization Across Sindh: Tackling the Coronavirus Crisis

As the coronavirus outbreak gripped Pakistan, the Sindh government took decisive action, including training medical teams and implementing preventive measures. In tandem, the Sindh Boy Scouts Association, led by Provincial Secretary Syed Akhtar Mir, sprang into action. Rescue teams were swiftly mobilized across Sindh, with established centers in Gulistan Scouts Training Center, Shikarpur Divisional Headquarters, and Khairpur, alongside rescue units in Sukkur. These teams were equipped not only to provide aid but also to educate the public about COVID-19 precautions through awareness campaigns.

Establishing Field Isolation Centers: Karachi Expo Center

In collaboration with the Pakistan Army, the establishment of a 1,200-bed Field Isolation Center at Karachi Expo Center marked a significant milestone in the fight against COVID-19. Led by Sindh Scouts, notably Syed Sardar Hussain and Syed Akhtar Mir, the center’s establishment was a testament to teamwork and dedication. Scouts played pivotal roles in various activities, from patient care to logistics, earning accolades from Governor Sindh and Chief Scout Imran Ismail for their invaluable contributions to humanity.

Recognition and Appreciation: A Salute to Service

A reception honoring the scouts serving at the Field Isolation Center exemplified the appreciation for their selfless service. Attended by dignitaries including Major General Muhammad Aqeel and organized by Dr. Farhan Issa Abdullah, the event underscored the scouts’ unwavering commitment to their duty. Major General Muhammad Aqeel emphasized the indispensable role of scouts in national service, aligning their efforts with the Pakistan Army’s mission.

Extending Aid Beyond Isolation Centers

The scouts’ service extended beyond isolation centers. In Sukkur, they supported the Government’s Ehsas Kifalat program by assisting in cash distribution centers, ensuring proper hygiene practices among beneficiaries. Similarly, in Khairpur, scouts spearheaded awareness campaigns, distributed rations to the needy, and engaged in blood donation drives, embodying the spirit of solidarity in times of crisis.
